Asbestos Surveys And Management
Regulation 4 of the Control of Asbestos Regulations 2012 states that all dutyholders have to manage asbestos in non-domestic properties. The first stage of this is to identify whether the premises contain asbestos. This is done by carrying out a survey. There are 2 types of survey available;
This type of survey is the most common and its purpose is to locate the asbestos in the property as well as to assess the level of damage or deterioration in the asbestos containing material to determine if any remedial works are required. The survey information can then be used to formulate an asbestos plan and help manage the asbestos in the property. Management surveys will often involve minor intrusive work and some disturbance.
Refurbishment & Demolition
A Refurbishment & Demolition Survey extends the Management Survey to include investigations into all reasonably accessible sealed voids and the fabric of the building. This is carried out prior to demolition or refurbishment works where significant damage to the building will not be a problem. Its purpose is to identify all asbestos containing materials within the property so that they can be removed prior to works.obtainbest price for our clients and can manage the entire process including quality assurance of the final report.
